In celebration of Women’s History Month, RingCentral’s Women In SaaS Empowerment (WISE) Employee Resource Group (ERG) embraced this year’s theme, Accelerate Action, by hosting events focused on advancing professional growth and empowerment for women.

The importance of Women’s History Month

Throughout history, women have faced significant workplace challenges, including limited access to education and career opportunities, unequal pay for equivalent work, and gender stereotypes. While progress has been made, there is still much to accomplish. Yet, women have shown remarkable resilience and continue to make profound contributions to society.

Women’s History Month is a time to honor these achievements, recognize ongoing struggles, and celebrate the resilience and impact of women worldwide.

Laura Frasure, Director of Strategic Programs and WISE ERG President, shares “Women’s History Month is both a celebration of all that women have accomplished and a powerful reminder that the fight for equal rights is far from over. While we honor the progress made, we must also acknowledge the challenges that still exist as we continue pushing for true equity.”

How the WISE ERG promotes equity

At RingCentral, the WISE ERG is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where women and allies can connect, learn, and lead. By advocating for meaningful change and cultivating a supportive community of allyship, WISE plays a crucial role in advancing workplace equity.

Laura says, “Leading WISE has been an incredible opportunity to meet and learn from so many inspiring women. It has also allowed me to facilitate meaningful conversations, networking, and professional development—creating spaces where women feel supported and empowered to grow. Just as importantly, WISE raises awareness around allyship because gender equality isn’t just a women’s issue; it’s something we all need to champion together.”

Accelerating action at RingCentral

This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, calls for driving meaningful change in both personal and professional spaces. To support this, WISE hosted a series of events throughout the month, focusing on professional development, advocacy, and self-care.

Featured events:

  • March 7: WISE Leadership Panel: This panel featured senior women leaders and allies, including Mignon Clyburn, Kristen Koenig, Emilie Dettamanti, and allies Alvin Lam and Danny Gunter. Moderated by Sarah Gross, the discussion themed Progress Through Connection, explored the power of networking, collaboration, and investing in women’s success.
  • March 14: WISE Book Club: Members read “How to Be a Bawse” by Lilly Singh, discussing how confidence and determination drive success.
  • March 24: “Protecting the #1 Asset… You!” with Dr. Ashley Smith. A science-backed session on self-care, stress management, and resilience-building.
  • March 28: Women’s History Month Trivia Celebration: A fun and interactive trivia event featuring questions about women’s history, allyship, and fun facts about the amazing women at RingCentral.
  • Additionally, we ran a social media campaign highlighting perspectives from WISE women at RingCentral on this year’s theme, Accelerate Action.

Prisicilla Shaw, Director of UX Design Operations and WISE Allyship Committee Leader, reflects on the month: “It was my first time being behind the scenes at the WISE Leadership planning meetings for Women’s History Month. I must say I was impressed and inspired by the dedication of the women on the committee, ensuring that women at RingCentral feel acknowledged and empowered. Being part of WISE’s mission to advocate for equity and inclusion in the workplace is an incredibly fulfilling experience. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished this month!”

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, WISE remains committed to accelerating action and fostering an equitable and inclusive workplace for all.
