Businesses today are demanding unified communications solutions that are easy to use, easy to manage, and enable productivity while on the go. In order to best accomplish this goal, companies need a single platform that allows their employees to toggle between communication types—whether it’s messaging, voice calls, conferencing, video, or team chat. While historically it seemed sufficient for businesses to use a desk phone and email to get their work done, that just isn’t enough in today’s fast-paced, modern workplace. People want to be connected, no matter where they are and no matter how they choose to work.
Since legacy systems cannot enable the agility that large scale, distributed workforces need, we’re seeing a huge uptick in businesses going cloud for their communications and collaboration needs. One such example is Extra Space Storage, the second largest operator of self-storage properties in the US. With more than 3,000 employees across 1,500 national locations, Extra Space Storage had a huge need for a mobile-first communications solution that could scale at the same pace as its growth. Previously, the company operated on disparate landline phone systems, which they found to lack the capabilities needed to support their increasingly dispersed workforce.
Now, employees are using RingCentral to stay connected across the US. With the help of the RingCentral Professional Services team, the service is being rolled out in 50 locations per week. Unique features such as call analytics are being leveraged to improve customer interactions at all 1,500 of Extra Space Storage’s locations. Down the road, the company will also benefit from RingCentral’s open platform and custom integration capabilities.
We’re excited to help Extra Space Storage take a more unified approach to their business communications by harnessing the advantages of RingCentral’s cloud solutions. As they continue to scale, we look forward to further supporting their business needs.
