RIngEx Rocks!Use Cases and Deployment Scope - RingEX is our phone system. We have been virtual since 2013; before it was cool, we knew we needed a cloud-based phone system. We went through a few of them until a few years ago when our MSP recommended RingCe...ntral. RingEX is a compelling platform for intra and inter company communication. It's a platform that manages our calls, IVR, SMS traffic, intra-company messaging, audio and video conferencing, and all of our needs.Pros - Video calls with Outlook schedule integration.
-Simple SMS and Messaging.
-Excellent customer care.
-Supports multiple phone vendors.
-Excellent mobile and desktop app.Cons - System administration is powerful, but doesn't think like me.
-Some aspects of use in the apps require more training.Likelihood to Recommend - A basic phone system with all of the "extras" makes a small business look much more significant. Their growth into AI features is fantastic and can be used to reduce the effort of call management dramatically. While pretty much like all of them, voicemail is easy to work with. You'd probably need an administrator to manage personnel changes in a larger environment.RingEX Feature RatingsReturn on Investment - Cost savings were a great benefit, and the costs are steady in a world where costs seem to increase.
-RingEX has replaced Teams for communication, saving time and becoming a single platform, reducing training.
-The AI features, under continual development, are incredible.Reliability and Availability - I never had a failure. RingEX tests its infrastructure periodically and pushes handset updates automatically without interrupting the user or team's operation. The few issues with offline phones resulted from our internal network, never theirs. Like with all VoIP systems, it's as good as the network. However, using the mobile app means you can always take calls.Unified Communications Solution - We haven't used as many of the automated processes as we'd like to, mostly because the administrator (me) hasn't had time; however, the features that exist and the ability to use them are complete, flexible, and as powerful as any other platform and more so than most that I reviewed prior to selection.Alternatives Considered - GoTo Connect, GoTo Meeting and Microsoft Teams - We switched from GoTo's platform with pieces of Teams. At that time, the complexity and difficulty of integrating all of the features and connecting them to get a simple platform that was stable and easy to train weren't available elsewhere.Other Software Used - Microsoft 365 Business Premium, JobAdderRead moreRead less

RingEx is reliable and has great customer support but watch out for contractsUse Cases and Deployment Scope - Customer support is awesome. There is always someone willing to help 24 hours a day. The reporting is better than average; and I really like all t...he metrics such as handle time, inbound vs outbound, and the data trends over days, weeks, months. The service is very reliable and we had more issues with our own internet service provider than with RingEX going down or stalling out on us which rarely if ever happened.Pros - Reliabilty

-Cheaper than using our local utility co for callingReliability and Availability - I personally have never had any issues with the system reliability that were not quickly resolved with a quick call to the toll free customer support number. Most of our issues were with our own internet provider and the unreliable speed which can cause RingEX to stop working. But again this is not the fault of RingEx so I don't hold this against them.Unified Communications Solution - The latest Hubspot integration is very helpful to save our reps time in dialing from a separate softphone or another window. -SMS Campaigns are a great toolReliability and Availability - We recently had nearly an entire day of downtime where the RIngCentral network was experiencing issues with incoming and outgoing calls. In the past year there have been more service related issues than ever before, which makes me wonder if RingCentral network is not robust enough to handle all the users.Unified Communications Solution - The call handling tools make sure the calls are routed properly and the voicemail is turned on outside of business hours. The ability to check remotely check messages, forward and transfer calls effortlessly, and a super user friendly UI all make this platform an excellent choice.Alternatives Considered - Spectrum Business (part of Charter Communications) - RingEX provides better service and features at a competitive price. There really is no comparison between the two solutions. Spectrum Business gives us reliable land line phone service with multiple lines and reliable business internet. Adding new lines is a physical experience with a visit from a spectrum technician. RingEX provides everything we need from the phone system to additional tools like video meetings and conference calling all with a very user friendly application.
