John Marlow
John Marlow has worked at RingCentral for over 14 years and currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. He led RingCentral’s IPO in 2013, capital raises, and continues to play a critical role in all areas of growth. In his role, he oversees business and legal affairs, people operations, facilities and corporate development. His legal responsibilities include SEC and NYSE compliance; agreements with strategic partners and global service providers; intellectual property; regulatory compliance; litigation; and privacy and security matters. His people operations and facilities responsibilities include managing RingCentral talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards (compensation and benefits), HRIS, and facilities teams globally.
His corporate development responsibilities include M&A and strategic partnership transactions. Marlow took a lead role in negotiating and closing RingCentral’s Avaya, Atos, Alcatel-Lucent and Mitel commercial relationships. He also previously helped lead RingCentral’s EMEA operations and launched their BT reseller relationship.
Before joining RingCentral, Marlow founded and managed his own law firm and, prior to that, was a partner at Reed Smith, LLP, a Law360 Global 20 firm with more than 1,700 attorneys worldwide.
Marlow received his law degree from Berkeley School of Law, and earned his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Colgate University.
