Manager: Sr. Director of Operations
This is a great opportunity to work at a rapidly growing company, which provides Voice-over-IP (VoIP), Hosted PBX, Voicemail and Fax solutions. This position will be instrumental in assisting the company to deliver high-levels of service availability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all production telephony environments
- Provide technical support for production software and hardware in all environments, including mission-critical telephony services
- Performance maintenance and work with front-line Customer Support and Engineering groups on troubleshooting and resolving telephony issues
Required Qualifications:
- At least advanced user-level experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
- Understanding of SIP, HTTP, TCP, UDP protocols; XML/XSLT
- Scripting skills and ability to read and understand C++ and VB Script code; Java is a plus
- Basic knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL
- Team player
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow accordingly
- Ability to grasp new concepts fairly quickly
- Ability to understand the problem and describe it for others
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Ethereal/Wireshark
- Previous tech support experience
- Understanding of ISDN protocols, such as DMS
- Experience in supporting mission-critical 24x7 telco service
